[Sooo the day or so after Syrlya moves onto Emil's floor, he realizes: they all kind of left Trahearne to deal with this by himself. Syrlya obviously won't be checking up on him at this stage and Lalli is... Emil doesn't even know if Lalli considers Trahearne a friend, really, so the task is up to him!! He will do it.
Specifically, he will stop by after he leaves work, in the very late afternoon. He doesn't actually know Trahearne has moved into his own workplace, but he thinks he might catch him before leaving. So.]
[You're a good friend, Emil. Trahearne's only had the company of books and his cat after the situation diffused. He hasn't exactly been sleeping since then either, so it takes a minute for him to actually wake up and recognize someone was there.]
Oh, I'm sorry, I'll be right with you... [He rubs his eyes and stands up off the floor, having made himself a space in the back with a blanket or two lying around. He turns around the corner and stops. Oh. Snow kid. Not sure if he's mad at him or not.]
[Is there a shelf for him to lean on here? He's found it and is leaning on it, waiting for Trahearne to appear. He blinks first, surprised by the apology - then waves a hand, like this is an absolutely stupid thing to apologize for.]
Don't be stupid. [emil] I came here to see how you're doing!
[Yeah, Emil is a little thrown by this, too. He isn't sure what to do about this either - it just seems kind of... Sure, Syrlya is upset, but is he supposed to take sides? That seems-- Trahearne had a house dropped on him, too!
This is stupid. He makes a face, then--smiles, somewhat strained. The cat, that's good.]
Great! [nnh] I'm-- You're not okay, but... are you okay?
[Trahearne isn't sure if anyone's supposed to take sides, but he's looking relieved no one but Syrlya is angry with him. Then again, he hasn't run into Lalli yet...
He can't bring himself to smile, just sort of staring over at the books absentmindedly.] N... No. I... will be, I think, in time, but... no. Not right now.
[Hey, at least he can be honest.] Did he come to your apartment?

Hellooo? Who is still here?

Heeee... did, yes. He's probably still there now. Lalli took care of that, mostly.
[Emil had no choice?? But okay.]

Lalli is a good friend to him. I'm grateful you both can take him in, despite such a small space.
I apologize our trip more or less went to waste. [The clothes... he still has them, but it sure won't impress Syrlya anymore.]

And there's that dismissive hand wave again.]
Stop apologizing! I came all the way here to see how you're doing, not harass you for apologies!

... Thank you for coming to see me. I did not think we were... [say... it....] ... friends.

[......uh]
Why wouldn't we be?

So... thank you. [awkward]

This is a bonding moment now.]
Well, of course we're friends! You're welcome!
